Protestation ambassade tchèque

Hier, Vendredi 16 novembre, une délégation du Parti Humaniste a amené pour la seconde fois une lettre de protestation à l'ambassade tchèque.

Ceci pour dire la préoccupation du Parti Humaniste France à propos du projet de base radar US en République tchèque et soutenir la manifestation nationale du 17 novembre des humanistes tchèques du Mouvement Ne Zakladnam, en cette date anniversaire des 18 ans de la Révolution de velours.

Cette protestation et appui au mouvement tchèque Ne zakladnam a été réalisé dans plusieurs pays européens, par les Partis humanistes locaux ce même jour en Allemagne, Belgique, Espagne, Italie, Suisse, Grèce, Hongrie.

Retour de Prague

Les 19-20 et 21 octobre dernier nous étions à Prague pour une rencontre européenne des humanistes en soutien aux Maires tchèques contre l'installation d'une base radar US en République tchèque.

Cette base fait partie du projet de bouclier stellaire des Etats-Unis, le NMD (National Missile Defence), qu'ils implantent en Europe de l'Est avec une nouvelle base de missiles nucléaires en Pologne, l'aggrandissement de la base de Vicenza en Italie à Dal Molin et le radar en république tchèque.

Ce bouclier stellaire est censé arrêter toute attaque de missile nucléaire provenant de l'est et du moyen orient. Bien sûr cela ne peut que produire des tensions avec la Russie (qui parle de menace pour sa sécurité) et de manière plus général une nouvelle course au réarmement nucléaire.

A ce jour, selon les sondages, 68% de la population tchèque est contre cette base radar mais le gouvernement tchèque ne consulte pas et n'entend pas pour l'instant l'avis de sa population. En campagne depuis le debut de l'année 2007, les humanistes tchèques sont à l'initiative d'un mouvement et d'une campagne nationale contre la base intitulé Ne Zakladnam (Non aux Bases). Une Manifestation nationale a lieu le 17 novembre.

Invitation au Forum de la Non-violence

En France, aujourd'hui, comment agir avec la non-violence ?

Comment désobéir face à l'inhumanité grandissante de la politique française ?

The Humanist International condemns the latest outrageous situation in Pakistan

The latest announcement of the imposition of the state of emergency and suspension of the constitution in Pakistan removes the veil from the eyes of the world; where Pakistan was previously seen as a supposedly “benign” Military power necessary to fight a so-called “war on terror”, it can now be seen for what it is really: a dictatorship whose aim has always been to look after the interests of the President and the military.

This announcement has only one possible outcome; increasing fear in the people of Pakistan, increasing violence in the country and increasing tensions in the region as a whole.

The imposition of dehumanising living conditions on the Pakistani population must be ended immediately. To this end the Humanist International demands the following actions:

- The immediate removal of the state of emergency,

- The convoking of all interested parties in the country to come together and plan a way out of the current disastrous situation,

- As soon as possible, to announce a timetable leading to the holding of free, fair and multi-party elections, allowing all Pakistanis to take part and not impeding anyone from returning from exile to take part

It is high time that the military withdraw from politics and take the role that is expected of them which is to defend the country from outside attack.

We call on all Pakistanis who hope for a better future to support democracy and insist on a non-violent transition from dictatorship to participative and real democracy.
